The Islamic month of Dhu'l-Hijjah starts tonight at sunset with the official first day being January 12 (in the Islamic calendar, months start the night before the designated day, at sunset when the new crescent moon is seen). Dhu'l-Hijjah is the month of the hajj, but even for Muslims who are not going on hajj, there are things to do. Check out my
Dhu'l-Hijjah page, inshallah.
Don't forget to offer qurbani/udhiyah to help the needy! If offering it yourself is not a possibility, you can send money to a charity like
Islamic Relief and they will offer it on your behalf and give the food to those in need.
