Remember RAWA, the Revolutionary Association of Afghan Women? It's the one that was the darling of American feminist groups. According to The Silence Surrounding RAWA, RAWA seems to be collecting a lot of money but failing to actually use it to help anyone other than themselves. Why aren't those who support RAWA so much looking into what their pet organization is up to?
Some feminists seem to act like "liberating" Afghan women from the veil will magically solve all their problems. I would think that helping women get access to food, health care and other necessities is a lot more important than how the women happen to dress.
